Jesus said that it is inevitable but that offences will come. The word offence in the original text means a stumbling block or the trigger of a trap. In other words, there will be opportunity after opportunity for you to stumble or be trapped. But you do not have to take an offence. 
 
Jesus said, “Blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in Me.” The word blessed includes happiness, wellness, prosperity, favor, and safety.  When you refuse to take an offence, you open yourself to receive the blessing.
