Have you ever had to stop doing something that you loved to do because you knew it was bad for you? I love melting cheese on a plate- on chips, on meat, on bread, on pasta- I mean, I love cheese and could eat it on just about anything! One of my “bad habits” was to melt cheese on chips right before bed. I’m talking American, Cheddar, Colby-Jack, and grease-ridden, salty, yummyliciousness! Ha! BUT it’s terrible for me!
As much as I love the taste of cheese right before bed, I’ve switched my “bedtime snack” to cucumbers, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, or olives. A much healthier dessert! I didn’t want to. My flesh didn’t like it. My brain fought it. But it was creating health problems for me, and I had to “Overcome the Enemy that I Loved.”
